Mari and Julia were the best of friends up until the eighth grade when Julia threatened to beat up a sixth grader. This causes her to have three months of suspension, start to lose friends, and become less popular, so she goes after her replacement, Mari, and bullies her far into depression.


When the last old hound dog passes away, a solitary farmer must get used to the absence of his constant companion. As the only one left on the run-down family farm, he clings to his tired routine as a way to fill the days. He finds that sometimes life is more painful than death.
